1. Eligibility

This Site is intended for residents, shareholders, and tenants of the Southview Owners building in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY. By using the Site, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or are authorized to represent a household.

2. Community Purpose & Intent

Southview Club is a resident-led platform dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and collective engagement. Our purpose is to provide a respectful and secure space where community members can raise concerns, share information, and collaborate around issues impacting the building—especially those involving the Board of Directors and the managing agent. We support healthy discussion and encourage open participation as a vital part of community governance.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the Site in a manner that is respectful, lawful, and aligned with the goal of fostering constructive and inclusive community dialogue. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:

• Harassment, threats, or personal attacks against individuals or groups

• Posting false, misleading, or defamatory information

• Posting or sharing retaliatory legal notices or communications intended to intimidate, silence, or suppress the open expression of views, concerns, or dialogue among community members, shareholders, or other participants. Constructive differences of opinion—including criticism of the Board of Directors or managing agent—are welcome, provided they are expressed respectfully and without defamation. Submissions of this nature that violate these principles will not be approved for publication.

• Sharing private or personally identifiable information without explicit consent

• Uploading malicious software, scripts, or engaging in activities that compromise the security or functionality of the Site

• Using the platform for unauthorized commercial promotion, solicitation, or exploitative purposes

4. Moderation & Fair Use

Moderation is conducted with the goal of preserving a respectful, safe, and open forum for all users. Content will not be removed solely because it criticizes building management or leadership. However, posts must meet basic standards of truthfulness, civility, and relevance. If a user believes content has been unfairly removed or blocked, they may request a review by contacting the administrator.

5. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

To support transparency, any users who hold formal roles (e.g., Board members, managing agents, or legal counsel) must disclose their position when commenting on matters related to governance, policy, or disputes. This helps ensure fairness and clarity in dialogue.

6. Content

All content posted by users remains the property of the original author. By posting, you grant Southview Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Site for community purposes.

The unauthorized copying or pasting of external articles or other third-party content is strictly prohibited unless written permission from the original publisher is obtained and submitted. Violations of this policy will result in immediate removal of the content and potential suspension of the user’s posting privileges.

We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion without prior notice if it violates these Terms.
